Cheongsam [book]

The sewing technique of the traditional cheongsam dress is one of Hong Kong's Intangible Cultural Heritage traditions aimed to be protected. The cheongsam, which is the traditional dress of Hong Kong and mainland China came into fashion during the 1920s and continued to exist in popularity until the 1970s.
This project was an integrated individual project towards my Higher Diploma program for Publishing Design and Print Media to highlight one of Hong Kong's Intangible Cultural Heritage traditions. I chose the cheongsam dress as I enjoy working with textiles, I wanted to find an opportunity to incorporate my hobbies with my studies.
